Come Drive for GivingGrub
Be part of a kinder, more generous food delivery service. GivingGrub offers flexible schedules, generous compensation, and is a great company to work for. It is operated by real Sherpas, who have climbed the tallest mountain on earth, Mount Everest, many times. Lhakpa Sherpa, the founder of GivingGrub, grew up in Nepal and worked guiding climbers safely up to the top of Mount Everest, under the toughest conditions you can imagine. This involved diligently caring for the needs of trekkers and keeping them healthy, sometimes even carrying them back down to lower altitude if they got sick. Can you imagine a better boss to work for? We take care of our drivers with the same diligence and care we gave to our climbers.
But it gets better – Lhakpa Tsheter Sherpa started GivingGrub as a way to raise funds for worthy charities, so you have the added benefit of not just having a well paying and fun job, but the comfort of knowing that you are part of an organization that contributes to the greater good, and that is part of making the world a better place. GivingGrub donates 100% of its profits to charity – yes, you heard right – 100% of all GivingGrub profits are donated to non profit organizations.
One of those NGOs is Hike for Help, which was founded in 2011 and targets community development in the Khumbu Valley of Nepal in the Mount Everest Region. Hike for Help, in partnership with the Colorado School of Mines, focuses on implementing self-sustaining projects to help poor communities, like the marginalized Dalit people. Some examples of Hike for Help’s accomplishments are making sure teachers have enough supplies, building a clinic in Hewa, restoring trails that Nepali people depend on to get around, clothing drives and building the first public restroom at the base camp of Mount Everest.
You don’t need to be a Sherpa but we are looking for drivers with the Sherpa Spirit.
What is Sherpa Spirit:
Sherpas are world famous for their unparalleled strength relative to their height, as well as their tenacious and self sacrificing attitude towards helping climbers on their difficult ascent up Mount Everest. Sherpas are peace loving, hard working, grounded in nature and brave, and they follow a strict code of ethical conduct. When we look for drivers, we look for people with the same kindness and dedication towards treating our partner restaurant’s staff and our customers as well as we treat our drivers.
